Neurodiversity

I’ve been masking all this time

I love the topic of neurodivergence. Because if you're different and you think you have to hide it, you don't. Figure out what it is that makes you different. Sure, it will be a double-edged sword. But why not use the side that can be your strength, and be careful not to cut yourself with the other side? Because once you learn how to do that, you can do anything.

Born to perform

I still have a full-time private practice. I am turning Normal in Training into a podcast, and at has 380 posts. When the podcast is finished, I'm going to do a kickoff conference series called Normal in Training: Teaching Adults how to Rest and Play to publicize it. I just started the blog Neurospicy and Flying, which will eventually be turned into a book, since there's so little good material out there on neurodivergence.

Anger, part 2

But trying not to get angry doesn't work. You may say you don't feel it, but it's coming out, anyway, in ways that you don't even know about. That’s the kind of denial in passivity. Your anger is hidden from you, but you feel very hurt and undeserving.

This is How I Roll

I no longer care what other people think of me. I?m going to do whatever makes me happy. And if you think this picture of me is too matchy-matchy, too bad. Because from now on, this is how I roll.
